With great sadness, I must inform you that the Archbishop’s beloved mother, Mrs. Mary Cordileone, passed away at approximately 1:00 a.m. today, May 8th. She suffered a stroke last weekend and took a turn for the worse shortly thereafter. Thankfully, the Archbishop was able to rush home from a trip in Europe to be at her side in San Diego, before she died. She was holding out for his return.

Please pray for the soul of Mrs. Cordileone, and prayers for the comfort and consolation of her beloved son, and the family. We owe so much to this faithful mother who raised such a faithful son!

The Viewing will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Featheringill Mortuary, 6322 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115

The Vigil will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4540 El Cerrito Drive (at El Cajon Blvd) San Diego, California 92115

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 4540 El Cerrito Drive (at El Cajon Blvd) San Diego, California 92115

Burial will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102
