Mother’s Day at St. Margaret Mary (Oakland, CA) last May 11, 2014, was a wonderful event that began with a Solemn High Mass. Ten boys and five girls received their First Holy Communion and afterwards, Canon Olivier Meney (Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest) imposed a Brown Scapular on each child. A short procession to the parish grotto followed, with the children and the rest of the faithful offering stems of roses to Our Lady.
