Click on the photo above for a gallery of selected photos from the May Crowning and Rosary Procession held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory on Sunday, May 10, 2015. The Oratory is located at Five Wounds Portuguese National Church on Santa Clara Street in San Jose.
Before Mass, Canon Raphael Ueda presided at the Mary altar as the children brought roses to Our Lady, and then he crowned a statue of the Blessed Virgin. The statue was a gift to the Oratory by Fr. William Stout, S.J., who is a friend of the traditional Latin Mass community in the San Francisco Bay area.
After Mass in a Rosary Procession, little girls strew rose petals while a statue of Our Lady was carried by young men of the Oratory around the church. After the procession, the Litany of Our Lady was recited by the faithful before the statue of Our Lady on the Mary altar.
