Advent Chant Workshop this coming week!
This coming Sunday, December 1st, is the 1st Sunday of Advent. What better way to prepare this holy season by learning Advent chant? The Traditional Latin Mass Society of San Francisco has teamed up with the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Belmont to launch an Advent Chant Workshop. The schedule is as follows:
November 29, 2019: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM; November 30, 2019: 12:00 PM – 2:00PM and December 1, 2019: 4:00PM – 5:00PM. The workshop concludes with a Solemn High Mass in the Extraordinary Form. The church is located at 1040 Alameda De Las Pulgas, Belmont, CA 94002. Please invite your family and friends!

YOU AND I ARE HERE TODAY because we hope in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. We also believe this central and immutable doctrine of the Catholic faith not simply because we have recited it many times in the Creed at Mass or in our personal prayer, but first and foremost because supernatural grace has infused this hope into our hearts. Let me pause for moment here. You believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come because Almighty God has placed that hope into your heart. For, whatever my natural capacity for reason and faith may be, baptism and the Holy Spirit confer upon me something infinitely greater, namely, the knowledge that the Lord Jesus Himself has of the His Father’s love and mercy, a knowledge which is embodied in the teachings of the Catholic Church and now infused by grace into the hearts of believers.

Just a gentle reminder of our upcoming Solemn High Requiem Mass in the Extraordinary Form (Traditional Latin Mass) to take place this Saturday, November 16, 2019 (10:00 AM), at the Holy Cross Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery – 1500 Mission Road, Colma, CA 94014. We have included a map of the cemetery below as a point of reference. Please invite your family and friends!
Fr. Magin Catala Death Anniversary – EF High Mass on Nov. 22, 2019 at Mission Santa Clara
The annual Traditional Latin High Mass for the Feast of St. Cecilia and marking the death anniversary of Fr. Magin Catala, O.F.M. (the “Holy Man of Santa Clara”) will take place on November 22, 2019 (Friday), 6:30 PM, at the Mission Santa Clara (Santa Clara University – 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA). Celebrant would be Canon Raphael Ueda, with Canon Jean-Marie Moreau as the homilist.
TLM for the Dedication of the Archbasilica of the Most Holy Savior – Church of the Nativity (November 9, 2019 at 9AM)
On November 9, 2019 (9AM), the Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered for the Feast of the Dedication of the Archbasilica of the Most Holy Savior, at the Church of the Nativity (210 Oak Grove Ave., Menlo Park, CA). Everyone is invited!
