San Francisco Bay Area Ancient Liturgies List

Last updated February 26, 2023

This page provides listings for ancient liturgies in the Bay Area, including traditional Latin Masses, Eastern rite Catholic liturgies, and reverent Ordinary Form Masses (especially those celebrated with traditional sacred music). Please let us know about updates, additions, or corrections at editorAncientLiturgies@bxvi.org. This page will be updated as we become aware of new information.

Because times and dates may change for many reasons, check before you go. The most direct way to find the current status for any location is provided in each listing. Some locations are managed by a coordinator who is not connected to the parish, so use the contact information when provided to contact that person directly.

Unless noted, the listed liturgies are traditional Latin Low Masses. A Missa Cantata is indicated with (Sung). Latin Ordinary Form Masses, Dominican Masses, and Eastern rite liturgies are also indicated when known.

Listings changed since the last update are identified with a +. New listings are identified with New.

  1. Hi, the new addition in Ripon is actually in the Diocese of Stockton, not Sacramento. Also, St. Mary in Vacaville is in the Diocese of Sacramento, not Oakland.
